[High preoperative pulmonary artery systolic pressure is associated with acute kidney injury and prognosis in patients underwent cardiopulmonary bypass surgery].
To observe the relationship between pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP) and acute renal injury (AKI) and prognosis after cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) heart surgery. ⋯ The increase of PASP is related to AKI after CPB heart surgery, which is an independent risk factor for long-term mortality.

[Combined predictive value of the risk factors influencing the short-term prognosis of sepsis].
To explore the risk factors influencing the short-term mortality of patients with sepsis in intensive care unit (ICU) and the combined value of predicting prognosis. ⋯ SOFA score, NEU and LYM were independent risk factors for the short-term prognosis of sepsis. The combination of age, SOFA score, MAP, NEU, LYM and APTT were more accurate than any single factor in predicting the short-term prognosis of sepsis and had higher diagnostic value. NEU, D-dimer, PT, APTT, INR and PCT were correlated with SOFA score.

[Timing of sequential noninvasive mechanical ventilation following early extubation in aged patients with severe community-acquired pneumonia].
To explore the timing of sequential noninvasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV) following endotracheal intubation mechanical ventilation (ETI-MV) in aged patients with severe community-acquired pneumonia (SCAP). ⋯ Sequential NIPPV performed immediately following extubation within 7 days in the aged SCAP patients might reduce the mortality and shorten the duration of MV. The prolonged ETI duration because of the VAP or aspiration would lead to a reduced function of sequential NIPPV and an increased mortality of the aged patients with SCAP.

[Clinical predictive value of short-term dynamic changes in platelet counts for prognosis of sepsis patients in intensive care unit: a retrospective cohort study in adults].
To explore clinical predictive value of short-term dynamic changes in platelet counts (PLT) for prognosis of sepsis patients in intensive care unit (ICU). ⋯ Persistent or acquired thrombocytopenia within the first week of hospitalization proves to have a relatively momentous clinical predictive value for prognosis of sepsis patients in ICU. Clinical intervention focusing on thrombocytopenia may become a new potential therapy for these sepsis patients.

[Chinese experts' consensus on diagnosis and treatment of severe and critical coronavirus disease 2019 (revised edition)].
The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is serious and there is no effective treatment to date. In order to reduce the mortality of severe and critical COVID-19, experts from the first-line in related fields in China were organized to analyze, discuss and summarize the diagnosis and treatment of severe and critical COVID-19 patients in Wuhan and other severe epidemic areas, and formulate the expert consensus. The first edition was released on February 22, 2020, and the revised one on March 4, 2020.
