Observational Study[Plasma level of neutrophil extracellular traps in septic patients and its clinical significance: a prospective observational study].
To investigate the changes of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) level in plasma of sepsis patients and judge its clinical value for early diagnosing of sepsis. ⋯ The plasma cf-DNA/NETs levels increased significantly in sepsis patients. In the diagnosis of sepsis, plasma NETs levels had better advantages over WBC. NETs can be used as a biomarker for early diagnosis of sepsis.

[Antithrombin III for early diagnosis of DIC in sepsis patients: a retrospective analysis with 445 patients].
To investigated the role of antithrombin III (AT-III) levels in the early diagnosis of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) in patients with sepsis and the predictive effect of AT-III on the development of DIC. ⋯ AT-III level can be used for diagnosing sepsis-associated overt DIC independently or with a combination of PT. When ISTH score improved, AT-III level was risen in patients with sepsis associated DIC.

[Predictive value of SOFA score combined AGI grading system in elderly patients with sepsis: a retrospective analysis with 91 patients].
To explore the predictive value of sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score combined the acute gastrointestinal injury (AGI) grading system in critical elderly patients with sepsis. ⋯ The combination of SOFAmax score and AGImaxscore enable accurate prediction in elderly patients with sepsis.

[Efficiency of novel splash-proof ventilator circuit component on VAP and the colonization of multiple-drug resistant bacteria prevention in patients undergoing mechanical ventilation: a prospective randomized controlled intervention study with 318 patients].
To investigate the efficiency of closed tracheal suction system (CTSS) using novel splash-proof ventilator circuit component on ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) and the colonization of multiple-drug resistant bacteria (MDR) in patients undergoing mechanical ventilation (MV) prevention. ⋯ CTSS performed using novel splash-proof ventilator circuit component shared similar advantages in preventing VAP with the conventional CTSS. Meanwhile, it is superior because it prevented the colonization of MDR and high price in the conventional CTSS.Clinical Trail Registration Chinese Clinical Trial Registry, ChiCTR-IOR-16009694.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Effect of bronchoalveolar lavage with fiberoptic bronchoscopy combined with vibration sputum drainage on mechanically ventilated patients with severe pneumonia: a prospective randomized controlled trial in 286 patients].
To investigate the curative effect of bronchoalveolar lavage with fiberoptic bronchoscopy combined with vibration sputum drainage in the treatment of severe pneumonia patients undergoing mechanical ventilation (MV). ⋯ Compared with bronchoalveolar lavage with fiberoptic bronchoscopy alone, the treatment of bronchoalveolar lavage combined with vibration sputum drainage is more effective in sputum excretion for severe pneumonia patients undergoing MV, which could improve the respiratory function, reduce infection, shorten the duration of MV and the length of ICU stay, and improve the recovery.
