Analysis of related factors of orolingual angioedema after rt-PA intravenous thrombolytic therapy.
Orolingual angioedema (OA) is a rare clinical complication with a potentially fatal risk that occurs after the intravenous application of alteplase (rt-PA) in patients with acute ischemic stroke. The purpose of this work is to investigate the related factors of OA in patients with acute ischemic stroke after the administration of intravenous thrombolytic therapy, to improve the predictive ability of OA during intravenous thrombolytic therapy, and to reduce the prevalence of complications. ⋯ Orolingual angioedema is a rare complication that occurs after rt-PA intravenous thrombolytic therapy; when serious, it may endanger a patient's life. If patients take an oral hypotension such as ACEI drugs before the onset of OA, they have a history of allergies, or the lesion is an infraction in the dominated area of the middle cerebral artery, the risk of OA after rt-PA intravenous thrombolytic therapy will be increased. The prevalence of OA should be monitored during the rt-PA intravenous thrombolytic therapy process; timely detection and early intervention should be conducted, which can avoid serious adverse consequences.

Clinical efficacy of sequential therapy with voriconazole on COPD patients in acute phase with pulmonary aspergillosis and effects on cytokines and pulmonary functions.
To explore the clinical efficacy of sequential therapy with voriconazole on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients in acute phase with pulmonary aspergillosis and its effects on cytokines and pulmonary functions. ⋯ Sequential therapy with voriconazole exhibits promising clinical efficacy in COPD patients in acute phase with pulmonary aspergillosis. The treatment ameliorated the clinical symptoms and vital signs of patients significantly. It also improved the pulmonary functions and inhibited the inflammatory responses of patients with evident clinical efficacy.

The role of miR-146b-5p in TLR4 pathway of glomerular mesangial cells with lupus nephritis.
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are now recognized as important regulators of gene expression. The aim of the study was to investigate the role of miR-146b-5p in the TLR4 pathway and provide the basis for the treatment of lupus nephritis. ⋯ MiR-146b-5p attenuated the inflammatory response of glomerular mesangial cells by inhibiting the expressions levels of TRAF6 and IRAK1 in lupus nephritis.

Efficacy of inhalational sevoflurane anesthesia induction on inhibiting the stress response to endotracheal intubation in children with congenital heart disease.
To investigate the efficacy of inhalational sevoflurane anesthesia induction on inhibiting the stress response to endotracheal intubation in pediatric patients with congenital heart disease (CHD). ⋯ It is well inhibited the endotracheal intubation stress response in children with congenital heart diseases using sevoflurane inhalational anesthesia induction.

Role of surgical setting and patients-related factors in predicting the occurrence of postoperative pulmonary complications after abdominal surgery.
The aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate the role of surgical setting (urgent vs. elective) and approach (open vs. laparoscopic) in affecting postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs) prevalence in patients undergoing abdominal surgery. ⋯ Patients undergoing abdominal surgery in an urgent setting were exposed to a higher risk of PPCs compared to patients scheduled for elective procedures. Ariscat score fitted with PPCs prevalence and older patients were exposed to a higher risk of PPCs. Prospective studies are needed to confirm these results.
