[Application of diffusion tensor imaging in preoperation and postoperation patients of glioma with 3.0 Tesla MRI].
To investigate the clinical usefulness of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in demonstrating between gliomas and surrounding fibers. ⋯ The DTI offered the optimal visualization of white matter tracts. DTI plays an important role in demonstrating relationship between gliomas and neighboring fibers. MD and FA values could be used to distinguish normal white matter from solid tumor and surrounding edema region of high grade glioma. The application of DTI in preoperation plays an guidance role in making microsurgery plans and the evaluation of brain functional recovery in postoperation. DTI should be of great value in the microsurgical planning as well as estimation and reduction of potential postoperative neurological deficits for the cerebral gliomas resection.

[Effect of admission blood glucose levels on the short term mortality in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction].
To evaluate the predictive value of different admission blood glucose levels for short-term mortality in patients with ST-segment elevation acute myocardial infarction (STEMI). ⋯ The 30-day mortality was higher in STEMI patients with mild, moderate and severe hyperglycemia at admission. Admission blood glucose level is an important factor associated with a short-term.

[Surgical options and result analyses in adult degenerative lumbar scoliosis].
To investigate the clinical and radiographic outcomes for varying degrees of degenerative lumbar scoliosis using different surgical options with a minimal 5-year follow-up. ⋯ The surgical aim for adults with a spinal deformity is to achieve a stable, balanced and pain-free spine. Surgical treatments should consist of decompression and fusion with segmental instrumentation to avoid instability and curb progression. Despite the complexity of adult lumbar degenerative scoliosis, it might improve the quality of life for patients by choosing an appropriate operation option on the basis of varying degrees of lumbar deformity.

[Effects of ketamine and splenectomy on cognition and synaptic plasticity in hippocampus of senile rats].
To study the effects of ketamine anesthesia and surgery on cognition and synaptic structure in hippocampus of senile rats. ⋯ Surgical injury can impair cognition of senile rats and the synaptic plasticity might be involved in postoperative cognitive dysfunction.
