[Clinical, electrophysiological and skin biopsy studies of peripheral neuropathy with small fibers involvement: a report of 34 cases].
To explore the relationship between clinical features, electrophysiology and intraepidermal nerve fiber density (IENFD) in peripheral neuropathy with small fibers involvement and determine the diagnostic value of 13-item small-fiber neuropathy and symptoms inventory questionnaire (SFN-SIQ) and neuropathy symptom score [lower limb] (NSS [LL]) in small fiber neuropathy (SFN). ⋯ Chinese normative reference of IENFD should be formulated for the diagnosis of small fiber neuropathy. SFN-SIQ and NSS [LL] may screen for small fiber neuropathy and both are convenient during patient follow-ups.Large sample studies are warranted to further evaluate the clinical values of SFN-SIQ and NSS [LL].

[Multivariate analysis of risk factors for pulmonary infection after radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer].
To explore the major risk factors for pulmonary infection after radical gastrectomy in patients with gastric cancer. ⋯ Correcting the modifiable risk factors may reduce the incidence of pulmonary infection and shorten the length of hospital stays and costs after radical gastrectomy in patients with gastric cancer.

[Role of de novo HLA-DQ antibodies in renal transplantation: analysis of a single center data].
To explore the generation pattern and clinical relevance of de novo HLA-DQ antibodies in renal transplantation. ⋯ The presence of de novo HLA-DQ antibodies is frequent after renal transplantation. And it is associated with chronic graft failure when co-displaying with other HLA antibodies. The screening and detection of HLA-DQ antibodies after kidney transplantation may aid early warning of donor antigen-specific activation of immune system and subsequent graft dysfunction. Thus it serves as an indication for early treatment.

[Treatment of fixed atlantoaxial dislocation and basilar invagination with C1-2 screw and rod reduction and fixation technique].
To introduce a novel technique of reducing fixed atlantoaxial dislocation (FAAD) and basilar invagination (BI) with C1-C2 screw and rod system. ⋯ The C1-C2 screw and rod system may achieve effective reduction and fixation for FAAD and BI. Capable of preserving atlanto-occipital joints in patients without atlas assimilation, this procedure provide more solid immobilization than occipitocervical fusion in those with atlas assimilation.

[Negative fluid balance predicts survival in patients with septic shock].
To explore the change of fluid balance in patients with septic shock for seven continuous days and examine its effect on clinical prognosis. ⋯ Cumulative net negative balance quantity of fluid in survivors was much more than that in non-survivors. SOFA score and net balance quantity of fluid at Day 7 were the independent prognostic risk factors for septic shock. Cumulative net fluid balance at Day 7 was most negatively correlated with survival days. No significant inter-group difference existed in organ function at Day 7.
