Comparative Study[Comparison of results between fenestration discectomy associated with annulus repair and fenestration discectomy for lumbar disc herniation in the adolescents].
To compare the preliminary clinical outcomes of fenestration discectomy associated with annulus repair (FDAR) and fenestration discectomy (FD) for lumbar disc herniation in the adolescents. ⋯ The preliminary clinical efficacy of both FDAR and FD in the treatment of single segment lumbar disc herniation in the adolescents is satisfactory.

Comparative Study[Comparison of severity and clinical outcomes between hypertriglyceridemic pancreatitis and acute pancreatitis due to other causes].
To investigate the difference in severity and clinical outcomes between hypertriglyceridemic pancreatitis (HTGP) and acute pancreatitis (AP) of other causes, and to analyze the correlation between the serum triglyceride (TG) level <24 h after onset and the disease severity. ⋯ Compared with AP of other causes, HTGP patients have more severe clinical course and worse clinical outcomes. The serum TG level within 24 hours of onset may be positively correlated with the severity of HTGP.

[Association of Crohn's disease with transcobalamin Ⅱ gene polymorphisms and serum homocysteine, folate and vitamin B12 levels in Chinese patients].
To investigate the association of Crohn's disease (CD) with transcobalamin Ⅱ (TCN2) gene polymorphisms and serum homocysteine (Hcy), folate, and vitamin B12 levels in Chinese patients. ⋯ TCN2 rs1801198 mutation might be associated with increased risk of stricturing CD. TCN2 rs9606756 mutation might be a potential functional locus to affect CD susceptibility. Individuals carrying the haplotype (GG) formed by TCN2 (rs1801198 and rs9606756) seem to be at higher risk of developing CD. Hyperhomocysteinemia, folate deficiency, and vitamin B12 deficiency are prevalent in this cohort of CD patients of Han ethnicity from Zhejiang province. Both folate deficiency and vitamin B12 deficiency are independent risk factors for CD.

Comparative Study[Comparison between micafungin and caspofungin for the empirical treatment of severe intra-abdominal infections in surgical intensive care patients].
To compare the efficacy and safety of micafungin with caspofungin for the empirical treatment of severe intra-abdominal infections in surgical intensive care patients. ⋯ The empirical treatment of echinocandins for patients with severe intra-abdominal infection and specific risk factors of IAC may be effective. The empirical treatment of micafungin and caspofungin were equally effective and safe.
