Clinical Trial[Ventilatory response at maximal exercise in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease].
To compare the difference in the ventilatory equivalent for carbon dioxide (EqCO(2)) between the patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and normal adults at maximal exercise, and to identify the factors inducing the abnormal change of EqCO(2) in COPD patients. ⋯ Increased V(D)/V(T) may play an important role causing increase in EqCO(2) during exercise in patients with COPD.

[Mycophenolate mofetil in treatment of graft-versus-host disease after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation: analysis of 44 cases].
To retrospectively investigate the safety and efficacy of mycofenolate mofetil (MMF) in combination with cyclosporine A (CSA) or tacrolimus (FK506) in the treatment of graft-versus-host disease(GVHD) after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). ⋯ MMF combined with CSA/FK506 is effective and well-tolerated in treatment for aGVHD and cGVHD.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Effects of preoperative carbohydrate loading on the changes in serum tumor necrosis factor receptors 1 and 2 and insulin resistance in patients of colon carcinoma].
To investigate the effects of preoperative carbohydrate loading and new fasting protocol treatment on the postoperative changes in serum tumor necrosis factor receptor1 (sTNFR1), sTNFR2, and insulin resistance (IR) in patients of colon carcinoma. ⋯ Preoperative carbohydrate loading and new fasting protocol reduce the degree and course of IR, increase the sTNFR1 level, and decrease the sTNFR2 level and days of staying in hospital.

[Hemodynamic performance of newly developed composite stentless porcine aortic valve: in vitro testing and in vivo experiment with sheep].
To investigate the effects of a newly developed composite stentless porcine aortic valve constructed from noncoronary leaflets of three porcine aortic valves. ⋯ The newly developed composite stentless porcine aortic valves show excellent hemodynamic performance with lower transvalvular pressure gradient and are relatively easy to implant.
