Randomized Controlled Trial[Effect of emergency care simulator combined with problem-based learning in teaching of cardiopulmonary resuscitation].
To evaluate the teaching effects of emergency care simulator (ECS) combined with problem-based learning (PBL) in teaching of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). ⋯ Using ECS combined with PBL in teaching CPR technique directly involves the medical students in "emergency practice", resolving of "all sorts of problems", enhancing emergency awareness, and emergency skill. It can improve teaching quality significantly that is in accordance with the development of modern medicine.

[Effects of glutamine on changes of nuclear factor-kappa B in acute lipopolysaccharide lung injury: experiment with rats].
To investigate the effects of glutamine on the changes of nuclear factor (NF)-kappaB and lung pathology in acute lung injury. ⋯ Early glutamine administration protects the lung against acute LPS injury. The mechanism may be inhibition of the overexpression of NF-kappaB mRNA.

[An experimental study on percutaneous autologous bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell grafting for bone defect].
To investigate in vive osteogenic potential in size-critical bone defect after percutaneous autologous grafting of culture-expanded rabbit autologous BMSCs, osteo-induced BMSCs and combination of both. ⋯ The bone-forming ability of rabbit osteo-induced BMSCs combined with BMSCs in bone defect is superior to those of BMSCs and osteo-induced BMSCs.

[Modulation of lung oxidant/antioxidant status by ischemic post-conditioning during ischemia/ reperfusion injury: experiment with rats].
To investigate the effects of ischemic post-conditioning (IPO) on the lung endogenous oxidant-antioxidant system and nitric oxide level during the early stage of ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury. ⋯ Post-conditioning at onset of reperfusion reduces lung I/R injury. The lung protection of IPO may be mediated, in part, by inhibiting the oxidant generation and oxidizing, and may be associated with the increasing of the endogenous NO level.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Effects of metoprolol on perioperative cardiovascular events in patients with risk or at high risk for coronary artery disease undergoing non-cardiac surgery].
To assess the effects of metoprolol on perioperative cardiovascular events in patients with risk or at high risk for coronary artery disease (CAD) who were to undergo non-cardiac surgery. ⋯ Metoprolol reduces the incidence of postoperative severe cardiovascular episodes in patients with risk of or at high risk for CAD undergoing non-cardiac surgery.
