[Laparoscopic splenectomy and pericardial devascularization for treatment of portal hypertension due to liver cirrhosis].
To evaluate the safety and efficacy of laparoscopic splenectomy (LS) and pericardial devascularization in treatment of portal hypertension due to liver cirrhosis. ⋯ LS combined with pericardial devascularization is relatively safe and effective in treatment of portal hypertension due to liver cirrhosis. The keys to success include experienced laparoscopic skills, use of harmonic scalpel and careful manipulation.

[Interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha levels of endothelial cells in different hypoxia modes: in vitro experiment].
To investigate the damage of different patterns of intermittent hypoxia (IH) and continuous hypoxia (CH) on endothelial cells. ⋯ IH and CH significantly damage the endothelial cells dose-dependently, especially combined with hypercapnia. In IH/ROX, the inflammatory damage comes from ROX phase but not IH phase. Hypoxia duration and hypoxia frequency are also important parameters in the activation of inflammation.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Efficacy of axillary approach brachial plexus blocking by ultrasound-guided four points via one-puncture technique].
To investigate the clinical effects and safety of the technique of axillary approach brachial plexus blocking by ultrasound-guided four points via one-puncture. ⋯ With significantly higher anesthetic success rate, shorter manipulation time and onset time, and lower complication rate, the technique of axillary approach brachial plexus blocking by ultrasound-guided four points via one-puncture is a safe and reliable blocking method in comparison with the nerve stimulator-guided method.

[Role of macrophage migration inhibitory factor in septic shock-induced cardiovascular dysfunction: experiment with rats].
To investigate the role of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) in septic shock-induced cardiovascular dysfunction. ⋯ MIF plays a pivotal role in the circulation dysfunction in septic ambience. Antagonism and blockade of MIF improve corresponding hemodynamics, vascular responsiveness, and prognosis. Glycocorticoid of high and low dose are poles apart in effects on septic hemodynamics and vaso-reactivity, however, fails to improve the prognosis of sepsis no matter how high is the dose.

[Effect of propofol on synaptic long-term potentiation in hippocampal slices of rats].
To investigate the effect of propofol on the synaptic long-term potentiation (LTP) in the CA(1) area of rats hippocampal slices and the possible mechanisms of its effect, and to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the effect of propofol on memory. ⋯ The inhibition of LTP induction in hippocampus of rats may contribute to propofol-induced deficits in memory, and the underlying mechanism is involved in the activation of GABA(A) receptor other than GABA(B) receptor.
