Multicenter Study Clinical TrialTreatment of Chronic Abdominal Pain With 10-kHz Spinal Cord Stimulation: Safety and Efficacy Results From a 12-Month Prospective, Multicenter, Feasibility Study.
Chronic abdominal pain (CAP) can arise from multiple conditions, including inflammatory disorders, trauma because of injury or surgery, or structural or functional causes. This prospective, single-arm study was designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of 10-kHz spinal cord stimulation (SCS) in patients with intractable CAP over a 12-month follow-up period. ⋯ 10-kHz SCS can provide durable pain relief and improve the quality of life in patients with CAP.

Meta AnalysisRisk for Colorectal Neoplasia in Patients With Helicobacter pylori Infection: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.
Helicobacter pylori may reportedly be associated with extragastric malignancy beyond gastric cancer. The present study aimed to evaluate the association between H. pylori infection and colorectal neoplasia through a systematic review and meta-analysis. ⋯ Although this meta-analysis based on the observational studies could not show causality, it demonstrated that colorectal adenoma, advanced adenoma, and cancer were all associated with H. pylori infection.
