To compare the difference of brain functional connectivity between diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D) patients and healthy volunteers and changes after acupuncture intervention, so as to investigate the underlying mechanism of acupuncture in regulating functional activities of IBS-D patients by using seed point correlation analysis. ⋯ Mind-regulating and spleen-strengthening acupuncture intervention may improve the abdominal pain and distension and emotional state in IBS-D patients, which is possibly associated with its effect in enhancing FC between the hippocampus and brain regions.

[Effect of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation combined with epidural labor analgesia on postpartum depression].
To observe the effect of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS)combined with epidural analgesia on postpartum depression and to explore its underlying mechanism. ⋯ TEAS combined with epidural analgesia can reduce the incidence of postpartum depression, possibly by down-regulating plasma glutamate level and relieving of labor pain.

To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) on behavior, tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), mitochondrial complexes Ⅰ-Ⅳ, mitochondrial membrane potential and mitochondrial ultrastructure of Parkinson's disease (PD) mice, so as to explore its mechanism underlying improvement of PD. ⋯ EA can protect and promote the recovery of mitochondrial structure and function in MPTP-induced PD mice, which may play a neuroprotective effect on PD mice by improving mitochondrial dysfunction, balancing cell homeostasis and reducing dopaminergic neuron damage.

[Transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation relieves post-operative nausea and vomiting possibly by reducing serum motilin secretion in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery].
To observe the effect of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) of different acupoint combinations on postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) and serum motilin (MTL) content in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery, so as to provide evidence for clinical selection of suitable acupoint compatibility. ⋯ TEAS has a preventive effect on PONV in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery, which may be related to its effect in reducing serum MTL concentration. The preventive effect of TEAS of PC6 + LI4 + ST36 and PC6 +LI4 + ST36 + SP6 is similar and better than TG2 (two acupoints) group.

To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) on miR-34a-5p, silent mating type information regulation 2 homolog-1 (SIRT1) and nuclear factor-κB subunit p65 (NF-κB p65) in the trigeminal ganglion of rats with migraine, so as to explore the mechanisms of EA underlying prevention of migraine. ⋯ In migraine rats, EA can inhibit miR-34a-5p expression in the trigeminal ganglion, increase SIRT1 expression, down-regulate IL-1β/COX2 inflammation signals, reduce PGE2 synthesis, and thus redue CGRP released from the peripheral terminals, which may be one of the mechanisms of EA in preventing migraine.
