[Clinical Trial of Treatment of Cervicogenic Scapulohumeral Periarthritis by Red-hot Needle Therapy Combined with Cupping].
To observe the therapeutic effect of red-hot needle therapy combined with cupping for cervicogenic periarthritis of shoulder. ⋯ The red-hot needle therapy combined with cupping is effective in relieving cervicogenic shoulder periarthritis and is remarkably superior to routine acupuncture combined with cupping in improving shoulder periarthritis patients' symptoms.

To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) stimulation of "Weizhong" (BL 40)-"Huantiao" (GB 30) on expression of phosphorylated calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinase II (p-CaMK II) and cAMP response element binding protein (p-CREB) in the spinal cord in rats with spared nerve injury (SNI), so as to explore its mechanism underlying easing neuropathic pain. ⋯ EA intervention of BL 40-GB 30 may alleviate pain in neuropathic pain rats, which may be related to its effects in down-regulating spinal CaMK II-CREB pathway function.

To observe the effect of electroacupuncture .(EA) stimulation of "Zusanli" (ST 36)-"Yang- lingquan" (GB 34) on expression of pain sensory and affection processing-related corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) receptor, glutamatergic NMDA receptor and GABA receptor subtype genes in the amygdala in chronic constrictive injury (CCI) of the sciatic nerve rats, so as to reveal its mechanism underlying pain relief. ⋯ Repeated EA stimulation of ST 36-GB 34 has a definite analgesic effect in neuropathic pain and negative affection rats, which may be respectively related to its effects in down-regulating expression of CRF-2 R, NR 2 A and NR 2 B genes, and up-regulating expression of CRF-1 R, CRF-2 R, NR 2 B,GABAaR and GABAcR genes in the amyg- dala.

To observe changes of electrical activities of wide dynamic neurons (WDR) in the lumbar spinal cord after electroacupuncture (EA) stimulation of "Zusanli" (ST 36) during colorectal distension in rats, so as to analyze alternations of acupoint's functions under pathological conditions. ⋯ colorectal distension (visceral nociceptive stimulation) can strengthen the sensitivity of acupoint-EA stimulation-induced increase of firing rates of WDR neurons in the dorsal horns of the lumbar spinal cord in rats, suggesting a potentiation of the acupoint action under visceral nociceptive signal inputs.

To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) intervention on changes of spinal a-amino-3- ydroxy-5-methylisoxazole-4-propionate acid (AMPA) receptor (GluR 1) expression in rats with chronic constrictive injury (CCI) pain, so as to explore its mechanisms underlying improvement of neuropathic pain. ⋯ EA intervention can down-regulate CCI-induced increase of AMPA receptor GIuR 1 expression in the lumbar spinal cord in CCI rats, which may contribute to its effect in alleviating neuropathic pain.
