To compare the efficacy of different methods used to alleviate tourniquet pain in operating rooms as well as assess their effect on post-operative pain. ⋯ Intravenous paracetamol is a cost-effective and safe analgesic, especially when combined with a multi-modal regimen, and has potential effect on the alleviation of tourniquet pain.

Charles Bonnet syndrome is a condition characterised by the presence of visual hallucinations in patients having visual impairment most commonly reported in the seventh decade. We describe a case of a 55-year-old lady who had developed retinopathy causing significant visual loss secondary to diabetes mellitus. ⋯ A detailed history did not reveal any psychopathology but the patient had several medical complications due to her uncontrolled diabetes. Pregabalin, which was started for her neuropathy, dramatically remitted her symptoms within 2 days.

To assess and compare knowledge, attitudes and practices of male and female medical students of Karachi in the context of physical, emotional and spiritual wellness. ⋯ Spirituality, the key success factor in better wellness management, was found to be greater among female medical students.
