[Feasibility and clinical value of whole body diffusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging in detection of bone metastases].
To evaluate the feasibility and clinical value of whole body diffusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging (WB-DWI) in detection of bone metastases. ⋯ WB-DWI identified 214 pathological lesions in 20 patients, while bone scintigraphy demonstrated 197 lesions in 20 patients. Concordance between WB-DWI and bone scintigraphy occurred in 34 of 38 patients. There was no statistical difference between these two modalities (P = 0.488). Compared with bone scintigraphy, the regions missed by WB-DWI were mainly located in skull, thoracic spine, humerus, and tibia/fibula. WB-DWI was more sensitive in the detection of metastases to the cervical spine, lumbar spine, sacrum, pelvis, ribs and femur. No statistical significance was found among the ADC values of bone metastases in different skeletal areas, and the mean ADC value was (0.75 +/- 0.10) x 10(-3) mm2/s. Furthermore, WB-DWI revealed more metastases to the lymph lodes and extraskeletal organs. Conclusion WB-DWI has high accordance with skeletal scintigraphy in detecting bone metastases, and the two modalities are complementary to each other.

Comparative Study[Radiological features of dual-energy CT lung perfusion imaging in patients with acute pulmonary embolism: comparison with CT pulmonary angiography].
To explore the relationship of the perfusion defects in the dual-energy CT lung perfusion image and the filling defects in the CT pulmonary angiography (CTPA) in patients with acute pulmonary embolism. ⋯ The perfusion defects in the CT lung perfusion image are not completely corresponding to the filling defects in the CTPA. The combination of CTPA and CT lung perfusion map will offer more information for the acute pulmonary embolism.

[Diffusion weighted imaging combined with magnetic resonance conventional sequences for the diagnosis of rectal cancer].
To evaluate the clinical value of diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) combined with conventional sequences of magnetic resonance imaging (T1 and T2-weighted imaging) for the diagnosis of rectal cancer. ⋯ DWI was necessary for the diagnosis of rectal cancer when performing conventional sequences.

[Application of magnetic resonance contrast agent ultrasmall superparamagnetic iron oxide combined with magnetic transfer imaging in the animal model of experimental allergic encephalopathy].
To explore the sensitivity of magnetic resonance contrast agent ultrasmall superparamagnetic iron oxide (USPIO) enhancement scan in detecting experimental allergic encephalopathy (EAE) lesions and the change of magnetic transfer of USPIO enhancement lesions in the animal model of EAE. ⋯ The sensitivity of USPIO enhancement scan in detecting EAE lesions was high. Magnetic transfer imaging, together with USPIO enhancement scan, was helpful to determine the features of the EAE lesions.
