Clinical TrialA comparative evaluation of the effects of oral lorazepam, alprazolam and diazepam on venous admixture.
To compare the effects of oral diazepam, lorazepam and alprazolam premedication on venous admixture. ⋯ From the present study it can be concluded that 2 mg of oral lorozepam given 90 minutes before surgery to healthy patients have significant effects on venous admixture. However, the effects of alprazolam and diazepam had no significant effect on venous admixture.

Case ReportsReversal of catecholamine induced cardiomyopathy in a patient with bilateral malignant pheochromocytoma.
A patient of catecholamine induced cardiomyopathy (CMP) due to bilateral malignant adrenal pheochromocytoma (PCC), successfully reversed on treatment is described here. To the best of our knowledge, this is first report of catecholamine induced CMP due to bilateral malignant adrenal PCC, which could be reversed after surgery.

Comparative Study Clinical TrialComparison of aminophylline and insulin-dextrose infusions in acute therapy of hyperkalemia in end-stage renal disease patients.
This study was performed to compare the efficacy of aminophylline and insulin-dextrose infusion as acute treatment modality of hyperkalemia in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). ⋯ Aminophylline is an effective modality for acute treatment of hyperkalemia, though it is less effective than insulin-dextrose infusion. However, more studies are required to confirm these results.
