Review Case Reports[Atrioventricular block in granulomatosis with polyangiitis (Wegener's granulomatosis). Case report and review of literature].
Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA), or Wegener's Granulomatosis, is an immunologically mediated systemic vasculitis of small and medium vessels, which commonly compromises the upper airway, lungs, and kidneys and is rarely associated with cardiac manifestations. Compromise of the cardiac conduction system is rare, and isolated cases of different degrees of atrioventricular block (AVB) have been described. We report a case of a 49-year-old male patient previously diagnosed with GPA 3 years ago, who presented to the emergency department with dyspnea, clinical signs of low output, bradycardia of 30/min, advanced second-degree AVB and complete left bundle branch block (LBBB) on the ECG. A literature review is presented, and we discuss the causes, evolution, and management of this GPA complication.

Review[Evaluation of kidney function beyond the laboratory: role and current state of kidney imaging].
The evaluation of kidney function is usually performed through the estimation of the glomerular filtration rate and urine analysis. The evaluation of the kidney morphology through an image complements and enriches this information. ⋯ In addition, communication between clinicians and imaging specialists is less common than desirable. In this review, we will describe the imaging methods most frequently used for evaluating kidney function and other clinical situations, in addition to analyzing the most significant advances, particularly in ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging, for the early detection and follow-up of kidney damage.

Takotsubo syndrome is an acute cardiomyopathy with a clinical presentation resembling an acute coronary syndrome. It is characterized by transient segmental ventricular dysfunction with a normal underlying coronary tree or coronary lesions that cannot explain the ventricular dysfunction. ⋯ This article provides an exhaustive review of the risk factors, triggers, and main hypotheses to explain this disease. In addition, it provides an updated review of the diagnostic tests that must be performed, the diagnostic algorithms, their complications, and current therapeutic management.

Case Reports[A successful multidisciplinary approach to a recurrent ischiorectal fossa sarcoma].
Ischiorectal fossa tumors are rare lesions, mostly described in case reports or case series. These lesions represent a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. Hence, an appropriate preoperative study and multidisciplinary discussion are essential to achieve good oncologic and functional results. ⋯ The tumor was completely excised with negative margins. The patient was discharged without complications after 25 days due to flap management. After one year of follow-up, the patient is recurrence-free, and the ileostomy was closed.
