Previous studies have shown a decrease in the maternal mortality (MM) rates in Chile, with a trend towards stability since 2001. However, some of its associated causes such as high blood pressure, obesity, or maternal age, have increased in the last years. ⋯ MM rates increased in Chile in recent years, mainly due to the increase in women aged 20 to 34 years and in causes referred to as "other obstetric conditions not classified elsewhere." It is possible that changes in risk factors and in the registries could explain this increase.

Meta Analysis[Systematic review of treatment alternatives for depressed adults with early adverse stress].
Early adverse stress is a risk factor for the appearance of mental health ailments during adulthood. ⋯ Despite the ubiquity of EAS and its adverse and long-lasting consequences for well-being and health, treatment alternatives are scant. This review suggests that there are treatment interventions for depression in adults exposed to EAS that may achieve integral mental health benefits, alleviating its impact on various symptoms and functional domains, when EAS is explicitly considered in the treatment intervention.

[Mortality in patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in northern Peru].
Peru has one of the highest mortality rates due to COVID-19 in the world. ⋯ Fifty percent of these patients died. Age, rapid progression, having comorbidities and other laboratory alterations were associated with mortality.

Clinical and laboratory features of patients with undifferentiated spondyloarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
The terms Spondyloarthritis and spondyloarthropathy (Spa) are used to define a group of diseases with related clinical characteristics and genetics. ⋯ The frequency of anti-CCP positivity was higher in SpA patients than in healthy controls.
