[Evaluation of communication skills from a 360° perspective at simulated Tele-rehabilitation scenarios].
Communication skills (CS) are competencies required by health professionals. Clinical simulation with a simulated/standardized patient (SP) is a good resource for teaching this skill. However, it requires trained teachers to guide the process. Not all teachers have this training. HC short evaluation instruments are required to develop a structured observation during the activity, especially those that can be applied by all the participants to guide and understand the process from a broader perspective. ⋯ The short questionnaire for HC is a valid assessment tool during clinical simulation. Incorporating the views and perceptions of all the simulation participants can improve the understanding of health communication.

Case Reports[Late-Onset Cerebellar Ataxia with Neuropathy: Uncovering the Role of RFC1 Gene Mutations].
We report two unrelated patients with late-onset cerebellar ataxia associated with neuropathy and a long-standing dry cough. One patient had two siblings affected with sensory neuropathy and cough. ⋯ Both patients showed an abnormal intronic expansion in the pentanucleotide AAGGG of the gene RFC1. This etiology is being reported as frequent cause of adult-onset ataxia; the presence of cough may lead to the correct diagnosis.

[Knowledge and HIV/AIDS risk behaviors of Chilean adolescents attending urban and rural schools. Is it necessary to focus the prevention strategies according to territorial relevance?].
HIV infection has sustained increased in the Chilean young population. In order to focus on sexual education in adolescents, it is first necessary to establish the degree of knowledge and risk behaviors in this group. Therefore, this study aimed to compare the degree of knowledge and HIV/AIDS risk behaviors in adolescents from rural and urban schools. ⋯ We observed regular knowledge of HIV/AIDS among adolescents. Rural students showed less knowledge and several risk behaviors. These findings emphasize the need to establish sexual education strategies in adolescents, considering the territory and the use of new technologies.

[Association between low vitamin D levels and cognitive impairment in Chilean older adults: findings of the National Health Survey 2016-2017].
Recent studies have shown that low vitamin D levels constitute a potential risk factor for the development of cognitive impairment. The present study aimed to investigate the association between vitamin D levels and the suspicion of cognitive impairment in Chilean older adults. ⋯ A severe deficit of vitamin D was associated with higher odds of cognitive impairment in Chilean older adults independent of major confounding factors. Future studies are needed to provide causal evidence between vitamin D and the suspicion of cognitive impairment.

[Outcomes of Laparoscopic Liver Resection for Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Single-Center Experience].
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the sixth most common cancer in the world. Surgery is the treatment of choice in stages 0 and A in the Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer classification. A minimally invasive technique in this scenario has the advantage of reducing postoperative pain, blood loss, and hospital stay. We present our experience and outcomes in laparoscopic liver resection in HCC. ⋯ Laparoscopic liver resection for the treatment of HCC in our series is safe, with no 30-day mortality, low incidence of complications, no postoperative liver failure, and suitable medium- and long-term oncological results.
