[Clinical features of Chilean patients with Fibrous Dysplasia/McCune-Albright Syndrome].
Fibrous Dysplasia/McCune-Albright Syndrome (FD/MAS) is characterized by a spectrum of manifestations that may include fibrous dysplasia of bone and multiple endocrinopathies. ⋯ These patients demonstrate the variable nature of the clinical presentation and study of FD/MAS. It is essential to increase the index of diagnostic suspicion and adherence to international recommendations.

[Profile of glucose lowering drug use in outpatients with type 2 diabetes mellitus].
The use of glucose lowering agents with favorable weight profile is a growing practice in Diabetology. ⋯ The use of SGLT2i and GLP1ra in patients with T2D is associated with better metabolic control than rapid insulin with less risk of hypoglycemia. The use of these therapies should be prioritized in the future.

Historical Article[Feeding the poor and sick during the 18th century. The register of purchases at a hospital of La Serena, Chile].
This article analyzes the feeding forms and care, in a record made by the nursing friars of the Hospital San Juan de Dios of La Serena in 1796. The food intake of both patients and hospital staff, is examined through a quantitative and qualitative perspective. In this context, it is proposed that food intake, in a monastic space dedicated to the care of the poor and sick, responded to doctrinal elements typical of the Western Catholic tradition, but above all to local economic conditions. It supported the poor who wandered in a city with economic and social growth at the end of the 18th century.

Case Reports[Sulfhemoglobinemia secondary to the use of zopiclone. Report of two cases].
Sulfhemoglobin (SulfHb) is formed by hemoglobin (Hb) oxidation by sulfur compounds. Sulfhemoglobinemia is mainly associated with drugs or intestinal bacterial overgrowth. Patients present with central cyanosis, an abnormal pulse oximetry and normal arterial oxygen partial pressure. ⋯ This is attributed to a similar absorbance peak of both pigments in arterial blood. Venous co-oximetry can be useful in this context. SulfHb is a self-limited condition in most cases, however it must be differentiated from methemoglobinemia to avoid inappropriate treatments like methylene blue.
