Case Reports[Exogenous lipid pneumonia with hyperpyrexia: a case report].
Lipoid pneumonia (LP) is an uncommon form of pneumonia that is characterized by the presence of intra-alveolar lipid and lipid-laden macrophages on microscopy. It categorized as exogenous lipoid pneumonia (ExLP) and endogenous lipoid pneumonia (EnLP). Exogenous lipoid pneumonia caused by inhalation of liposuction substances (animal fat, vegetable oil, or mineral oil), mostly, in adult cases, they were medicines for constipation or rhinopharyngitis. ⋯ Then, whole lung lavage was performed 28 days after admission. Unfortunately, acute pulmonary edema occurred during the operation, as the tracheal intubation problems, and 6 days later, the patient died at last. The clinical manifestations of exogenous lipid pneumonia vary greatly, from asymptomatic to life-threatening symptoms, and as febrile low fever is the main manifestation, but hyperthermia may also be the remarkable presentation.

Case Reports[Congenital renal arteriovenous fistula complicated with multiple renal arteries malformation: case analysis].
Congenital renal arteriovenous fistula complicated with multiple renal arteries malformation is rare and hard to diagnose at early stage. Blood loss and complications after embolization are both severe. Some cases can be diagnosed by ultrasound, enhanced CT scan or digital subtraction angiography (DSA). ⋯ So DSA is the golden standard for diagnosis of congenital renal arteriovenous fistula complicated with multiple renal arteries malformation. Confirming the number of renal arteries by abdominal aorta angiography is necessary to avoid missed diagnosis. Renal arterial embolization is safe and effective.

Review Case Reports[Peritoneal dialysis-related eosinophilic peritonitis: a case report and literature review].
Peritoneal dialysis (PD)-related peritonitis is recognized as a common complication of peritoneal dialysis. Eosinophilic peritonitis is a rare type of non-infection PD-related peritonitis. Eosinophilic peritonitis in continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) patients was first reported in 1967. ⋯ Two months later, eosinophil count in blood and PD fluid decreased to normal range with no symptom. This case reminds us that in any PD-related peritonitis patient with prolonged symptoms after appropriate antibiotic therapy, and typical clinical symptoms, the diagnosis of eosinophilic peritonitis should be considered. For the count and percentage of eosinophils are not routinely reported in most laboratories, doctors need to contact the department of laboratory and the department of pathology, to confirm the cell count and proportion of eosinophils in dialysis effluent, so as to make the definite diagnosis, which can not only avoid antibiotics overuse, but also avoid antibiotics-induced eosinophilic peritonitis (such as vancomycin).

[Incidence and risk factors of chronic kidney disease in community-based patients with diabetes].
To estimate the incidence rate and effects of risk factors on chronic kidney disease (CKD) in Chinese patients with diabetes, based on Electronic Health Records (EHRs) from the Chinese Electronic health Records Research in Yinzhou (CHERRY) Study. ⋯ Incidence rate of chronic kidney disease in this Chinese population with diabetes was high. Age and comorbidity of hypertension were the most important risk factors for CKD, suggesting the priority for CKD screening in patients with diabetes in China. Control of blood pressure and lipid were especially crucial to prevent CKD in patients with diabetes.

Case Reports[Bronchial adenoid cystic carcinoma masquerading as bronchial asthma: a case report].
Here we reported a case of bronchial adenoid cystic carcinoma from Peking University Third Hospital. A 40-year-old female presented with dry cough for 1 year and nocturnal paroxysmal attacks of wheezing for 4 months. She was a non-smoker, and did not have past histories of asthma or allergy. ⋯ Now, two years after the operation, the patient remained asymptomatic, and spirometry was performed again which showed normal completely. The presenting case report emphasizes the fact that not all wheezes and reversible airflow obstruction are asthma. It is critical to bear in mind that if a "difficult asthma" patient does not respond to appropriate anti-asthma therapy; localized obstructions should be differentiated.
