Postinfectious syndromes have been described since the Spanish influenza pandemic of 1918. A similar syndrome-post-COVID condition (PCC)-is common; it occurs months after COVID-19 infection and involves fatigue, postexertional malaise, dyspnea, memory loss, diffuse pain, and orthostasis. The medical, psychosocial, and economic impact of PCC is immense. ⋯ Treatments of PCC are little researched, are largely expert based, and are likely to evolve as more evidence emerges. Current therapies, which are symptom targeted, include medications and nonpharmacologic therapies such as optimizing fluid intake, compression garments, progressive activity, meditation, biofeedback, cognitive rehabilitation, and addressing concomitant mood disorders. Many patients will enjoy significant improvements in their quality of life with multimodal treatments and longitudinal care.

Factors Associated With Sex Disparities in Leisure-Time Physical Activity: An Analysis of the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System, 2011 to 2021.
To identify whether sex disparities in leisure-time physical activity (LTPA) vary across population subgroups. ⋯ Women are less likely than men to engage in LTPA. These disparities are greatest among the young and elderly, Black and Hispanic individuals, lower income and unemployed individuals, and individuals with cardiometabolic disease. Targeted interventions are needed to reduce sex-related disparities.

The Association Between Thyroid Stimulating Hormone and Depression: A Historical Cohort Study.
To investigate the association between thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and clinically relevant depression (CRD) in a population-based study. ⋯ In this large population-based cross-sectional study, we report that low TSH was associated with higher odds of depression. Future longitudinal cohort studies are needed to investigate the relationship between thyroid dysfunction and depression as well as sex differences.
