[Transgluteal approach to the hip by anterior hemimyotomy of the gluteus medius].
Authors describe a transgluteal approach of the hip which is not based on the somewhat unsure common insertion of gluteus medius and vastus lateralis. Anatomical basis and technical particularities of division of anterior part of gluteus medius, of gluteus minimus and capsule are given which allow preservation of gluteal nerve, stability of the joint, and solid reparation of abductor muscles.

[Elastic intramedullary nailing of the tibia with the Marchetti-Vicenzi nail. 43 treated cases].
The purpose of this study was to analyse the results of tibial intramedullary nailing using an unreamed "Universal Elastic Bundle Nail". ⋯ We believe that Universal Elastic Bundle Nail allows a stable and safety fixation in open or closed tibial fractures without pseudarthrosis and without infection (in our series).

[Internal screwed plate for recent fractures of the humeral diaphysis in adults].
Can medial plating of the humerus, through an antero lateral approach, diminish incidence of iatrogenic radial palsies? ⋯ Restoration of the length and rotational alignment of the humerus puts the radial nerve in the best condition for its recovery. An antero lateral approach and a medially placed plate allowed to avoid secondary radial plasies and non-unions, which can complicate internal fixation of the humeral shaft.

[Percutaneous tenorrhaphy for Achilles tendon rupture. Study of 29 cases].
Closed percutaneous repair, described first by Ma and Griffith in 1977, have bridged the gap between surgical and conservative treatment of Achilles tendon rupture. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the results of percutaneous repair. ⋯ Percutaneous repair of the Achilles tendon is a simple, easy and reliable technique. It seems to fulfil the required conditions: bringing closer tendon ends, maintenance of strong contact, preservation of all anatomical and histological factors inducing healing and a rapid return to social and working activities.

[Osteosynthesis under arthroscopic control of separated tibial plateau fractures. 26 case reports].
Arthroscopic treatment of tibial plateau fractures may reduce morbidity compared to open articular surgery. But bony fixation is necessarily percutaneous and minimal. The purpose of our study was not only to assess immediate results but also long term functional and anatomic results after arthroscopic treatment of tibial plateau fractures, with special reference to radiographical results. ⋯ Arthroscopic management of tibial plateau fractures allows a complete articular screening. Rapid rehabilitation, short hospital stay, and low rate of complications reduce morbidity. The long term results are as good as those with open surgical technique for the types of fracture that we have treated (type III and IV). A minimal, percutaneous osteosynthesis which was the only possibility under arthroscopic control, did not modify the anatomical results.
