Case Reports[Operative treatment of fractures of the sternum (author's transl)].
Following a survey of different means for the treatment of sternal fractures, the authors report their own operative procedure, that was performed in three cases with success. The operation is based on the tightened loop principle. Indications and operative techniques are discussed in the paper.

Case Reports[Bullet embolism of the median cerebral artery].
A shot injury to the middle cerebral artery caused occlusion to the vessel by thrombosis and emboly of the missile. The projectil had been removed, but a thrombus formed in the a. cerebri media as a postoperative complication or by progression of a thrombosis in the internal carotid artery and after 19 days the patient died. A focal emollition of the left cerebral hemisphere was found at autopsy.

[Talus neck fractures associated to subtalar dislocations (author's transl)].
The survey literary data on the mechanism, symptoms and treatment of vertical talus neck fractures associated to subtalar dislocations, they present five cases in their practice. Reducement of the fracture dislocation, fixation by Kirschner wire was accomplished and a plaster cast was applied, for twelve weeks as an average. Avascular necrosis of the bone did not occur. The authors lay emphasis on the importance of early careful reducement and immobilization.

[The results of experimental and clinical use of Gentamycin PMMA balls (author's transl)].
Authors describe a new method of treatment for bone and soft tissue infections using polymethyl methacrylate balls containing Gentamycin. Advantages of this method can be summarized in 3 points: 1. ⋯ From the hospital management's point of view: improved hygienic conditions by eliminating the possible infections related to a rinsing-sucking wet system. Cutting down hospital expences both by abbreviation of the time of hospitalization and saving on expensive antibiotics.
