to verify the effectiveness of warmed intravenous infusion for hypothermia prevention in patients during the intraoperative period. ⋯ the planning and implementation of nursing interventions carried out by baccalaureate nurses are essential for preventing hypothermia and maintaining perioperative normothermia.

Quality of life of severe sepsis survivors after hospital discharge.
to evaluate the quality of life in severe sepsis survivors, using specific QoL questionnaires: the EuroQol-5 Dimensions and the Visual Analogue Scale (EQ-VAS). ⋯ After discharge from ICU, sepsis survivors of sepsis had a higher mortality rate than critically ill patients without sepsis. Older patients with sepsis had more moderate and severe problems in all five quality of life dimensions evaluated.

Cultural adaptation and internal consistency analysis of the MISSCARE Survey for use in Brazil.
The aims of this methodological research were to culturally adapt the MISSCARE Survey instrument to Brazil and analyze the internal consistency of the adapted version. ⋯ The adapted version of the MISSCARE Survey demonstrated satisfactory face validity and internal consistency for the study sample.

Assessment of a neonatal unit nursing staff: application of the Nursing Activities Score.
The study proposes to analyze the nursing staff workload of the sectors of a neonatal unit by means of the Nursing Activities Score - NAS and to calculate the quantitative ideal for the team, comparing it with the current workload. ⋯ The study disclosed an important imbalance of professionals in relation to the exalted work demand they are subjected to daily. The application of the Nursing Activities Score in neonatal units contributes to the evaluation of the workload and assessment of the nursing team.

Prevalence of fatigue and associated factors in chronic low back pain patients.
to determine the prevalence and key factors associated with fatigue in chronic low back pain patients. ⋯ fatigue was prevalent in chronic low back pain patients and associated with depression and self-efficacy. Knowing these factors can direct strategies for prevention and control of fatigue in chronic low back pain patients.
