Intensity of musculoskeletal pain and (in) ability to work in nursing.
the aim was to evaluate the association between the intensity of musculoskeletal pain and reduction in work ability among nursing workers. ⋯ A positive association was determined between intensity of musculoskeletal pain and reduction in work ability. It is necessary to adopt intervention measures in the organizational structure, so as to promote/restore work ability.

to assess the predictive validity of the Manchester Triage System implemented in a municipal hospital in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil. ⋯ the data confirm that the conditions of patients within the color groups progressed at different levels of severity.

Predisposing factors for peripheral intravenous puncture failure in children.
To identify predisposing factors for peripheral intravenous puncture failure in children. ⋯ The failure rate of 10.4% is similar to that identified in analogous studies and was influenced by characteristics of the children and intravenous therapy. In association with this, malnutrition and previous use of a central venous catheter were the most important variables influencing increase in peripheral intravenous puncture failure.

identify and analyze in the literature the evidence of randomized controlled trials on care related to the suctioning of endotracheal secretions in intubated, critically ill adult patients undergoing mechanical ventilation. ⋯ although the evidence obtained is relevant to the practice of endotracheal aspiration, the risks of bias found in the studies selected compromise the evidence's reliability.
