ReviewBronchial Thermoplasty: A Decade of Experience: State of the Art.
Bronchial thermoplasty (BT) delivers targeted radiofrequency energy to bronchial airway walls and results in the partial ablation of the airway smooth muscle that is responsible for bronchoconstriction. It is approved for the treatment of severe persistent asthma. ⋯ In this article, we review the state of the art of BT treatment in severe persistent asthma and share a decade of BT research and clinical experience. We share our personal experience and introduce the three "I"s (identification, implementation, and intense follow-up) that we believe promote successful patient outcomes and help build a successful BT program.

Drug-Induced Anaphylaxis Documented in Electronic Health Records.
Although drugs represent a common cause of anaphylaxis, few large studies of drug-induced anaphylaxis have been performed. ⋯ EHR-reported anaphylaxis occurred in approximately 1% of patients, most commonly from penicillins, sulfonamide antibiotics, and NSAIDs. Females, whites, and patients with mastocytosis, Sjögren's syndrome, and asthma had increased odds of reporting drug-induced anaphylaxis. The low observed frequency of tryptase testing and specialist evaluation emphasize the importance of educating providers on anaphylaxis management.

Association Between Maternal Pre-Pregnancy Body Mass Index, Gestational Weight Gain, and Offspring Atopic Dermatitis: A Prospective Cohort Study.
Maternal weight status may contribute to the development of atopic disorders in children. ⋯ In this study, increased GWG was associated with increased risk of AD in offspring. This supports existing evidence that prenatal exposures contribute to the development of atopic disorders.

Long-Term Follow-Up After Penicillin Allergy Delabeling in Ambulatory Patients.
Unverified penicillin allergy label has negative health implications. To address this, several delabeling methods have been proposed. ⋯ Penicillin allergy annulling via OCT has proven to be effective. Most of the patients who previously avoided penicillins have reused penicillins safely.
