Minimal stimulation using gonadotropin combined with clomiphene citrate or letrozole for intrauterine insemination.
To evaluate the efficacy of minimal stimulation using discretely administered gonadotropin combined with clomiphene citrate (CC) or letrozole (LTZ) for intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycles. ⋯ Our findings suggest that minimal stimulation using two alternate-day gonadotropin with LTZ decreases the development of OHSS and multiple pregnancies, while maintaining comparable pregnancy rates in IUI cycles.

Comparative StudyReadmission to medical intensive care units: risk factors and prediction.
The objectives of this study were to find factors related to medical intensive care unit (ICU) readmission and to develop a prediction index for determining patients who are likely to be readmitted to medical ICUs. ⋯ By using specific risk factors associated with increased readmission to the ICU, a numerical index could be established as an estimation tool to predict the risk of ICU readmission.

Increasing carbapenem-resistant Gram-negative bacilli and decreasing metallo-β-lactamase producers over eight years from Korea.
The trends and types of carbapenemase-producing Gram-negative bacilli were analyzed from clinical specimens collected between 2005 and 2012 at a Korean teaching hospital. The proportions of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter spp. increased markedly to 66%. Metallo-β-lactamase producers significantly decreased and the majority shifted from the bla(VIM-2) type to the bla(IMP-1) type.

Comparative StudyEfficacy of surfactant-TA, calfactant and poractant alfa for preterm infants with respiratory distress syndrome: a retrospective study.
To compare the efficacy of the new drug calfactant with the commonly used drugs surfactant-TA and poractant alfa. ⋯ Calfactant is equally as effective as surfactant-TA and poractant alfa. This was the first study comparing the efficacy of surfactant-TA, calfactant, and poractant alfa in a large number of preterm infants in Korea. Further randomized prospective studies on these surfactants are needed.

Incidence and risk factors for rebleeding during cerebral angiography for ruptured intracranial aneurysms.
The purpose was to evaluate the incidence and risk factors for rebleeding during cerebral angiography in ruptured intracranial aneurysms. ⋯ Ruptured aneurysms located in anterior circulation with a high aspect ratio might have the risk of rebleeding during DSA, especially during 3DRA.
