Risk of Dental Discoloration and Enamel Dysplasia in Children Exposed to Tetracycline and Its Derivatives.
To examine the risk of dental abnormalities after exposure to tetracycline and its derivatives (TCs) in Korean children. ⋯ Short-term exposure to TCs does not appear to increase the risk of dental abnormalities in children aged 0-7 and 0-12 years. Restrictions on the use of TCs in children aged 8-12 years, in some countries, may warrant consideration.

In Vivo Feasibility Test of a New Flexible Ureteroscopic Robotic System, easyUretero, for Renal Stone Retrieval in a Porcine Model.
Using a new robotic endoscopic platform system developed for retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) called easyUretero (ROEN Surgical Inc.), we evaluated the feasibility and safety of renal stone retrieval in a porcine model. ⋯ The easyUretero system is a new robotic RIRS system that was developed in Korea. The results of the present study suggest that using easyUretero for stone retrieval during RIRS is safe and ergonomic.

Meta AnalysisEpidemiology and Outcome of Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrests during the COVID-19 Pandemic in South Korea: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses.
To evaluate the effect of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) outcomes in South Korea, we conducted systematic review and meta-analysis. ⋯ During the COVID-19 pandemic in South Korea, the incidence of at-home OHCA increased and AED use decreased among OHCA patients. However, survival and favorable neurological outcomes did not significantly differ from before the pandemic. This insignificant effect of the pandemic on OHCA in South Korea could be attributed to the slow increase in patient count in the early days of the pandemic. Case ReportsHeart Transplantation in a Patient with Complex Congenital Heart Disease, Physiologic Single Lung, and Severe Pulmonary Hypertension.
Here we report a case of successful heart transplantation (HT) in a patient with high risk on HT due to her complex congenital heart disease and its consequent complications; physiologic single lung and severe pulmonary arterial hypertension. HT was successfully performed in our patient using meticulous perioperative management techniques, such as control of collateral vessels, appropriate donor selection, pulmonary vasodilator therapy, post-transplant extracorporeal membranous oxygenation support, and atrial septostomy for right ventricular unloading.
