Randomized Controlled TrialA New Thermo-Responsive Hyaluronic Acid Sol-Gel to Prevent Intrauterine Adhesions after Hysteroscopic Surgery: A Randomized, Non-Inferiority Trial.
To investigate the efficacy and safety of a newly developed thermo-responsive sol-gel, ABT13107, for reducing the formation of intrauterine adhesions (IUAs) after hysteroscopic surgery. ⋯ ABT13107, a new anti-adhesive barrier containing hyaluronic acid, was not inferior to the highly viscous hyaluronic acid anti-adhesive barrier, Hyalurobarrier® in IUA formation after hysteroscopic surgery (Clinical trial registration No. NCT04007211).

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyEffects of Air Purifiers on Patients with Allergic Rhinitis: a Multicenter, Randomized, Double-Blind, and Placebo-Controlled Study.
Exposure to particulate matter (PM) is a well-known risk factor in the triggering and exacerbation of allergic airway disease. Indoor environments, where people spend most of their time, are of utmost importance. To assess the effects of air purifiers [equipped with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters] on allergic rhinitis (AR) in adult patients, we performed a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled study. ⋯ The use of air purifiers with HEPA filters significantly reduced medication requirements for patients with HDM-induced AR and significantly lowered indoor PM2.5 concentrations, regardless of room placement. Active intervention to reduce household air pollutants may help improve allergic airway disease (clinicaltrials.gov NCT03313453).

Randomized Controlled TrialEffects of Indoor Air Purifiers on Children with Asthma.
To evaluate the effects of air purifiers on the concentrations of indoor air pollutants and on asthma control in children. ⋯ This study suggests that air purifiers benefit medication burden in children with asthma by reducing PM2.5 levels.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyRandomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Trial on the Efficacy of Hyaluronidase in Preventing Perineal Trauma in Nulliparous Women.
Hyaluronidase (HAase) has many uses in medicine, and reports suggest that it affects perineal tissue during fetal passage through the vaginal canal. However, its potential use for preventing perineal trauma has yet to be determined. This study sought to evaluate the efficacy and safety of perineal HAase injections in reducing perineal trauma during vaginal delivery. ⋯ HAase injections in nulliparous women afforded no reductions in the rates of perineal lacerations and episiotomy. However, the use of perineal HAase injections did reduce perineal edema without severe adverse events.

Randomized Controlled TrialEffects of Early Exercise Rehabilitation on Functional Recovery in Patients with Severe Sepsis.
Severe sepsis is associated with functional disability among patients surviving an acute phase of infection. Efforts to improve functional impairment are important. We assessed the effects of early exercise rehabilitation on functional outcomes in patients with severe sepsis. ⋯ Early physical rehabilitation may improve functional recovery at hospital discharge, especially in patients with high initial severity scores.
