Prognostic Factors for Tracheal Restenosis after Stent Removal in Patients with Post-Intubation and Post-Tracheostomy Tracheal Stenosis.
Long-term tracheal stent placement can increase the risk of stent-related complications; hence, removal of the stent after stabilization is attempted. However, little evidence has been established regarding the risk factors for tracheal restenosis. We aimed to identify the risk factors for tracheal restenosis in patients with post-intubation tracheal stenosis (PITS) and post-tracheostomy tracheal stenosis (PTTS). ⋯ Trauma-induced intubation and stent length were associated with successful stent removal.

MiR-103a-3p Contributes to the Progression of Colorectal Cancer by Regulating GREM2 Expression.
Our research aimed to investigate the influence of miR-103a-3p on the growth and apoptosis of colorectal cancer (CRC) cells. ⋯ MiR-103a-3p could augment CRC progression by targeting GREM2 and that miR-103a-3p/GREM2 could be potential novel targets for CRC therapy.

Fimasartan Ameliorates Deteriorations in Glucose Metabolism in a High Glucose State by Regulating Skeletal Muscle and Liver Cells.
Since diabetes and hypertension frequently occur together, it is thought that these conditions may have a common pathogenesis. This study was designed to evaluate the anti-diabetic function of the anti-hypertensive drug fimasartan on C2C12 mouse skeletal muscle and HepG2 human liver cells in a high glucose state. ⋯ In conclusion, fimasartan ameliorates deteriorations in glucose metabolism as a result of a high glucose state by regulating PPARδ in skeletal muscle and liver cells.

The First 100 Cases of Endoscopic Combined Intrarenal Surgery in Korea: Matched Cohort Analyses versus Shock-Wave Lithotripsy.
This study presents our initial experience with endoscopic combined intrarenal surgery (ECIRS) for large renal stones and compares the results of a propensity score-matched cohort of patients undergoing shock-wave lithotripsy (SWL). ⋯ ECIRS showed a higher SFR and success rate than SWL for large renal stones. Smaller stone size and lower complexity of stones were associated with a higher likelihood of successful ECIRS.
