[Research and development of new traditional Chinese medicine drugs for certain syndromes based on "theoretical innovation"].
Compound prescription of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), the main form in prevention and treatment of diseases in TCM, has unique advantages in medical practice. New TCM drugs for certain syndromes serve as an important carrier of inheritance and innovation in TCM. The research and development of new TCM drugs for certain syndromes should be based on the theory of TCM, guided by clinical value, and based on the principle of quality, safety and effectiveness. ⋯ Based on theoretical innovation, the overall research model was preliminarily put forward. Subsequently, a concrete discussion from three aspects, including pharmaco-logy and toxicology, pharmacy and clinic research, was made on the specific process and existing problems of new drug research and development of TCM. Our research group attempts to establish a new drug innovation ecosystem for TCM syndrome, with the purpose of providing reference for other researchers.

[Molecular mechanism of Puerariae Lobatae Radix in treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma based on network pharmacology].
To investigate the potential mechanism of Puerariae Lobatae Radix in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma by network pharmacology and in vitro cell experiment. The main active components of Puerariae Lobatae Radix and their predicted targets were obtained from TCMSP, and the disease targets were obtained from GeneCards database. The disease and drug prediction targets were intersected to select the common potential therapeutic targets. ⋯ In vitro cell experiments confirmed that puerarin has a significantly inhibitory effect on the proliferation of human hepatocellular carcinoma cells. Western blot results showed that puerarin could increase the phosphorylation of PTEN in human hepatocellular carcinoma cells through the PTEN/Akt/GSK3β signaling pathway, and the phosphorylation level of its downstream Akt decreased. This series of studies confirm that puerarin can treat hepatocellular carcinoma by blocking PTEN/Akt/GSK3β cellular signaling pathway, so as to provide ideas for subsequent studies for the molecular mechanism of puerarin in the treatment of liver cancer.

[Study on drug properties and syndrome-symptom-formula-herb network of traditional Chinese medicine in treatment of effort angina pectoris based on data visualization].
This article aims to explore drug properties and syndrome-symptom-formula-herb network of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in the treatment of effort angina pectoris based on data visualization, and provide useful references for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Literatures about TCM formula for effort angina pectoris from databases of CNKI, WanFang, VIP, and CBM were retrieved from the database-building to August 31, 2019. The name of syndromes, symptoms, formulas, and herbs were standardized, and the corresponding databases were established. ⋯ The high-frequency syndromes of this disease were Qi deficiency and blood stasis, Qi stagnation and blood stasis, heart blood stasis, and turbid phlegm and blood stasis, and its high-frequency symptoms were chest tightness, chest pain, palpitation, shortness of breath, fatigue, dark purple tongue, spontaneous sweating, and abundant phlegm. High-frequency core formulas of this disease included Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction, Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction, Danshen Decoction, Taohong Siwu Decoction, Shengmai Powder, Buyang Huanwu Decoction and Zhigancao Decoction, and their core herbs included Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Astragali Radix, Chuanxiong Rhizoma, Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Trichosanthis Fructus, Allium Macrostemonis Bulbus, Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Persicae Semen, Carthami Flos, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Paeoniae Radix Rubra, Poria, Pinelliae Rhizoma Praeparatum. Drug properties and syndrome-symptom-formula-herb networks of TCM in the treatment of effort angina pectoris can realize data visualization, objectively reflect the clinical syndrome differentiation and rule of medication, and provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

[Investigation of active components and mechanism of Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid based on network pharmacology].
To investigate the active components/ingredients of Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid based on the network pharmacology technology, and analyze the network data of its potential targets and mechanisms. The active ingredient screening, protein interaction analysis and pathway annotation were used to further optimize its active components and potential targets, and clarify the pharmacodynamic substance basis and mechanism of Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid. Through this technique, we screened out 41 active ingredients in Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid, mainly including 16 alkaloid components, 13 organic acid components, 11 flavonoid components and 1 coumarin component such as chicoric acid, chlorogenic acid, oroxindin, rutin, corynoline, and esculetin. ⋯ A total of 22 disease signaling pathways are involved, including 4 pathways closely related to inflammation. The IL-17 signaling pathway had the highest D(degree) value and may be most closely related to inflammatory diseases. Through network data excavating, we initially explored the main active components/ingredients of Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid, clarified the pharmacodynamic basis of Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid treatment-related diseases and its key mechanism of action in this study, hoping to provide a theoretical basis for clinical research, and at the same time, lay the foundation for deep research and promotion of Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid product.

[Variety and standard arrangement of Yao medicine in Euphorbiaceae].
The names, basic sources, medicinal parts, efficacy and standards of the medicinal materials in Euphorbiaceae were systematically collated and analyzed by the textual research for Yao medicine monographs in this paper. The results showed that there were great differences in the names, basic sources, medicinal parts and efficacy of some medicinal materials recorded in different literatures. There were 19 genera and 60 species(including varieties) of Euphorbiaceae of Yao medicine, involving 50 kinds of medicinal materials. ⋯ The Yao medicine in Euphorbiaceae could be named by means of transliteration of Yao language/Yao language transliteration/Chinese medicine name, Laoban medicine, plant morphology, medicinal properties, color and smell of medicine, while the medicinal parts and efficacy of the same medicinal name were different from those of traditional Chinese medicine. Therefore, the name and basic sources of the medicinal materials in Euphorbiaceae were not standardized, and the quality standard is not perfect. The above results provided a reference for the construction and improvement of quality standard system, the promotion of the production of medicinal materials and clinical medication standards, and the further development and utilization of Euphorbiaceae.
