Prospective double-blind randomised study of a new regimen of pre-emptive analgesia for inguinal hernia repair: evaluation of postoperative pain course.
To evaluate the effectiveness of a new regimen of pre-emptive analgesia on the development of postoperative pain after inguinal hernia repair. ⋯ This regimen of pre-emptive analgesia is an effective and safe method of reducing postoperative pain and analgesic consumption after inguinal hernia repair.

To study how patients with minor head injuries are currently managed. ⋯ In Sweden, patients with minor head injuries are routinely admitted to hospital for observation. The estimated use of CT varies considerably. No clinics report using CT to triage patients for admission, a strategy that would be consistent with effectiveness and economic arguments.
