The association of USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK scores with residency match specialty and location.
For future physicians, residency programs offer necessary extended training in specific medical specialties. Medical schools benefit from an understanding of factors that lead their students to match into certain residency specialties. Ethics teaching in a medical education environment: preferences for diversity of learning and assessment methods.
Ethics and professionalism are an integral part of medical school curricula; however, medical students' views on these topics have not been assessed in many countries. ⋯ Medical students viewed ethics education positively and preferred clinically attuned methods for learning.

Improving clerkship preparedness: a hospital medicine elective for pre-clerkship students.
Medical students often struggle to apply their nascent clinical skills in clerkships. While transitional clerkships can orient students to new roles and logistics, students may benefit from developing clinical skills in inpatient environments earlier in their curriculum to improve readiness for clerkships. ⋯ A&P: Assessment and plan; H&P: History and physical; ILP: Individual learning plan.

The link between quality and accreditation of residency programs: the surveyors' perceptions.
Accreditation of medical residency programs has become globally important. Currently it is moving from the goal of attaining minimal standards to a model of continuous improvement. In some countries, the accreditation system engages peers (physicians) to survey residency programs. ⋯ These categories were organized into two major themes: 'Structure and Process' and 'Human Resources'. The study participants proposed ways to improve efficiency including diminish the burden of documentation to the physicians involved in the process and to increase efforts on training programs and payment for surveyors and program directors. Based on the results we propose a conceptual framework to improve accreditation systems.
