Case Reports[1st experiences with a group for relatives--correlation between communication styles of the participants and the person and interaction of the group leaders].
The authors, a psychologist (Renate Siedow) and a male nurse (Jürgen Bombosch) both of whom are co-workers in the Department of Social Psychiatry of Berlin Free University, conducted for the first time a group meeting of relatives of psychiatric patients for a period of ten study units of two hours each. This programme was carried out within the framework of the Adult Education Programme of Berlin Free University. The methods used consisted of psychodrama and group discussions. ⋯ The interaction between the families is shown by means of two examples. The personal situation of the group leaders and their relation to each other are explained and interrelated. The course of the group discussions is described.
