[Multivariate analysis on the association between acquired multi-drug resistant organism infection and ventilator-associated pneumonia:evidence from a nested case-control study of eight ICUs].
The aim of this study was to explore the association between acquired multi-drug resistant organism (MDRO) and ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) in patients hospitalized at the intensive care unit(ICU). ⋯ MDRO colonized and infection patients would significantly increase the risks of VAP, with prolonged hospitalization and ICU stay. Effective measures should be taken to promote and control patient's safety at the hospital.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study[Effects of batroxobin on perioperative blood loss and coagulation in patients with low molecular weight heparin when undergoing the total hip replacement].
To investigate the interactive effects between batroxobin and low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) in reducing peri-operative blood loss and coagulation function in patients who undergone the total hip replacement surgery. ⋯ Batroxobin (2 U) could reduce the perioperative blood loss in patients with LMWH who had undergone the total hip replacement operation but did not show adverse effect on DVT.

[Burden on blood-pressure-related diseases among the Chinese population, in 2010].
To quantify the burden of disease related to high blood pressure in the Chinese population. ⋯ Compared to the global results of GBD 160, on either deaths or DALYs, the proportion attributable to high blood pressure were quite high for a country like China. The health effects caused by high blood pressure seemed to be quite serious which called for attention.

[Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat associated protein genes cas1 and cas2 in Shigella].
To detect the distribution of clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat (CRISPR) associated protein genes cas1 and cas2 in Shigella and to understand the characteristics of CRISPR with relationship between CRISPR and related characteristics on drug resistance. ⋯ CRISPR system widely existed in Shigella, with the level of drug resistance in cas1 (b) gene mutant strains higher than in wild strains. Cas1 (b) gene mutation might be one of the reasons causing the different levels of resistance.
