[Under-5-mortality rate and causes of death in China, 2000 to 2010].
To assess the changes and the leading cause of deaths for children under 5 years old, in China, during 2000 - 2010, with the aim of evaluation on the progress in achieving the relative goal set by "National Program of Action for Child Development in China (2001 - 2010)", and understanding the related challenges. ⋯ IMR, U5MR and the leading causes specific mortality rate in China declined remarkably from 2000 to 2010, and the goal set by "National Program of Action for Child Development in China (2001 - 2010)" had been successfully achieved. However, the disparity on child's health in regions and in urban or rural areas, still remained a challenge.

[Relationship between deliberate self-harm and suicidal behaviors in college students].
To describe the prevalence of deliberate self-harm (DSH) and suicidal behaviors (SIB) as well as the relationship between them in a college student population. ⋯ It was well known that SIB was not a suicidal gesture but our findings suggested that the presence of DSH might trigger the suicidal attempts.

[Blood lactic acid level and APACHE II score on prognosis of critically ill elderly patients].
To analyze the relevance between blood lactic acid level and acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II (APACHE II) score in order to provide guideline for clinical treatment. ⋯ There seemed a positive correlation between blood lactic acid level and the APACHE II score. Both of them showed good relevance with the prognosis of the disease.

Multicenter Study Observational Study[The role of gender difference on the prognosis of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in patients treated with primary percutaneous coronary intervention].
To investigate and analyze the impact of gender difference on outcome and prognosis of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in patients treated with primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). ⋯ Being female was not an independent predictor of in-hospital mortality or during follow-up period among patients who were treated with primary PCI. Worse long-term outcome seen in female patients was likely to be explained by older age or longer pre-hospital delayed time.

[Analysis on sero-conversion status of HIV-discordant spouse from 2006-2010 in Henan province].
To study the management status of HIV-discordant family in Henan province from 2006 to 2010. ⋯ The population of HIV-discordant spouse in Henan province was stable. Regarding management of those HIV-discordant spouse, the acceptance on the rate of test rate was increasing. The course of sero-conversion was also increasing, with most HIV-discordant couples insist on condom use while the sero-conversion rate of HIV-discordant spouse appeared to be low.
