[Compliance on hand-hygiene among healthcare providers working at secondary and tertiary general hospitals in Chengdu].
To evaluate the compliance on hand-hygiene and related factors among healthcare providers working at secondary and tertiary hospitals in Chengdu. ⋯ The high-level knowledge on hand-hygiene among healthcare providers in this area did not translate into good practices. Also, most of the hospitals had poor hand-hygiene equipment. We recommend that training and periodic monitoring be conducted, and hand-hygiene equipment be improved to facilitate hand-hygiene practices among healthcare providers.

[Field observation on the effect of low-sodium and high-potassium salt substitute on blood pressure in the rural community-based population in China].
To investigate the effect of commercial low-sodium and high-potassium salt substitutes on blood pressure in the rural community-based population in China. ⋯ Results from our study clearly demonstrated that the intake of low-sodium and high-potassium salt substitute could effectively reduce the BP with good compliance among adults in the rural community-based population in China. This was an effective but non-medical method to prevent and control the high blood pressure.

[A survey on the agricultural profession-related injuries among 11 902 rural residents in Shandong province].
To understand the prevalence and risk factors of agricultural activities related injuries among rural residents in Shandong province. ⋯ The results of this study indicated that the incidence of agricultural profession-related injuries was high, with serious harm. Behavioral intervention and awareness of injuries should be enhanced, together with the improvement of environmental condition.

[Infant mortality and its leading causes in Sichuan province, from 2001 to 2009].
To study the trend of infant mortality and the leading cause of the deaths in Sichuan province from 2001 to 2009. ⋯ In both urban and rural areas, the neonatal and infant mortality rates had decreased drastically from 2001 to 2009, due to the decrease of avoidable deaths as pneumonia and diarrhea in infants.
