[Titrating positive end-expiratory pressure after recruitment maneuver according to end-tidal carbon dioxide and its related indicators in acute respiratory distress syndrome dog model].
To investigate the relationship between end-tidal carbon dioxide with its related indicators and ventilation/perfusion of the acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) lung, and to explore a feasible way to titrate positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) in clinical practice. ⋯ Closing pressure is in accordance with PEEP level after RM having reached the best ventilation/circulation ratio. The characteristics of lung collapse can be revealed by Vd/Vt% changes after RM. To titrate PEEP for the lowest Vd/Vt% after RM may be a feasible way to match the best ventilation and circulation effects of PEEP.

[The evaluation value of severity and prognosis of septic shock patients based on the arterial-to-venous carbon dioxide difference].
To assess the value of central venous-to-arterial carbon dioxide difference [P((cv-a))CO₂] in evaluation of disease severity and prognosis in patients with septic shock. ⋯ P((cv-a))CO₂ might be an indicator for predicting the severity of patients with septic shock and evaluating tissue perfusion.

[The efficacy and safety of bortezomib-based induction regimen before autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in patients with multiple myeloma].
To investigate the efficacy and safety of bortezomib-based induction regimen followed by autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (ASCT) in patients with multiple myeloma (MM). ⋯ Bortezomib-based induction regimen can improve the efficacy of ASCT in MM patients. The side effects are tolerant. Higher response quality before ASCT can translate to high rates of OS and PFS following high-dose therapy and stem cell transplantation.

Controlled Clinical Trial[The value of procalcitonin for diagnosing infection in critically ill patients receiving long-term immunosuppressive therapy].
To assess the value of procalcitonin (PCT) measurement to differentiate infection from non-infection in critically ill patients requiring long-term immunosuppressive therapy. ⋯ The level of PCT is increased in the critically ill patients requiring immunosuppressive therapy with infection and it can be used for diagnosis for bacterial infection.
