3T MEGA-PRESS study of N-acetyl aspartyl glutamate and N-acetyl aspartate in activated visual cortex.
To measure N-acetyl aspartyl glutamate (NAAG) and N-acetyl aspartate (NAA) concentrations in visual cortex activated by a continuous stimulation in a 3 T field. ⋯ The MEGA-PRESS pulse sequence together with the spectral preprocessing techniques allowed to demonstrate that the concentrations of NAAG and NAA in the visual cortex remain constant during continuous visual stimulation within the margin of error. An increase in the lactate signal intensity signifies the activation of the anaerobic glycolysis in activated visual cortex.

Diffusion kurtosis imaging in liver: a preliminary reproducibility study in healthy volunteers.
To systematically test the reproducibility of DKI technique in normal liver and report a complete set of DKI measurement data. ⋯ DKI has shown excellent reproducibility in liver imaging. The range of values for multiple DKI parameters, derived from the normal liver, was reported, and may provide data reference for further clinical DKI applications. Additionally, DKI technique is a non-invasive method to reflect the perfusion or structural differences between the left and right hepatic lobes from the molecular level.

Histogram analysis of apparent diffusion coefficients for predicting pelvic lymph node metastasis in patients with uterine cervical cancer.
To investigate the value of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) histogram analysis in predicting pelvic lymph node (LN) metastasis in patients with cervical cancer undergoing surgery. ⋯ The ADC97.5 from histogram analysis may be a useful marker for the prediction of pelvic LN metastasis in patients with cervical cancer.

Comparative StudyComparing the interobserver reproducibility of different regions of interest on multi-parametric renal magnetic resonance imaging in healthy volunteers, patients with heart failure and renal transplant recipients.
To assess interobserver reproducibility of different regions of interest (ROIs) on multi-parametric renal MRI using commercially available software. ⋯ Kidney volume calculated by manually contouring a localiser scan was highly reproducible between observers and detected significant differences across patient groups. For T1, pCASL and ADC, Cx and rep-Cx ROIs are generally reproducible with advantages over WK values.

Transverse relaxometry with transmit field-constrained stimulated echo compensation.
Purely exponential decay is rarely observed in conventional mono-exponential T2 mapping due to transmit field inhomogeneity and calibration errors, which collectively introduce stimulated and indirect echo pathways. Stimulated echo correction (SEC) requires an additional fit parameter for the transmit field, resulting in greater uncertainty in T2 relative to mono-exponential fitting. The aim of this study was to develop an accurate and precise method for T2 mapping using SEC. ⋯ The proposed method generates reliable and reproducible quantitative T2 maps and should be considered for future relaxometry studies.
