Multicenter StudyClosure of perimembranous ventricular septal defects with aneurysmal tissue using the Amplazter Duct Occluder I: lessons learned and medium term follow up.
The aim of this report is to describe our experience with closure of perimembranous ventricular septal defects (PMVSD) with aneurysm using the Amplatzer Duct Occluder I (ADO I). ⋯ Percutaneous closure of PMVSD with aneurysm using the ADO I appears to have acceptable efficacy and risk. Atrio-ventricular block in up to mid-term follow up was not encountered.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyEarly statin treatment prior to primary PCI for acute myocardial infarction: REPERATOR, a randomized placebo-controlled pilot trial.
The aim of this pilot study was to determine whether early atorvastatin treatment will reduce left ventricle (LV) remodeling, infarct size, and improve microvascular perfusion. ⋯ In this pilot study, pretreatment with atorvastatin in an acute myocardial infarction does not result in an improved cardiac function, microvascular perfusion, or decreased myocardial infarct size.

Multicenter StudyExcimer laser with adjunctive balloon angioplasty and heparin-coated self-expanding stent grafts for the treatment of femoropopliteal artery in-stent restenosis: twelve-month results from the SALVAGE study.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of treating femoropopliteal in-stent restenosis (ISR) with debulking with excimer laser followed by implantation of a VIABAHN endoprosthesis. ⋯ The strategy of excimer laser atherectomy and PTA followed by implantation of a self-expanding stent graft for the treatment of femoropopliteal ISR is safe and associated with high procedural success. Primary patency rate at 12-months was suboptimal; however, the TLR rate was low.
