Retrospective review of private neuromonitoring databases. ⋯ IONM may provide the greatest utility at L4-L5, particularly MEPs, and may not be necessary for more cephalad LLIF procedures such as at L1-L2.

Does the Level of Pedicle Subtraction Osteotomy Affect the Surgical Outcomes in Ankylosing Spondylitis-Related Thoracolumbar Kyphosis With the Same Curve Pattern?
A retrospective study. ⋯ The results of this investigation showed that in AS-related thoracolumbar kyphosis patients with the same curve pattern, the different levels of osteotomy had little effect on the improvement of surgical outcomes. However, osteotomy at L2 is more likely to obtain a larger correction of SVA compared to osteotomy at L1.

Retrospective propensity score matching (PSM) study. ⋯ Adolescent and adult female scoliosis patients had comparable perioperative outcome following PSF surgery that was carried out using a dual attending surgeon strategy.
