There is no doubt that nobody was prepared for the changes we have been experiencing since the SARS-CoV 2 emerged in China. The occupation of hospitals to deal with this pandemic has raised the implementation of telemedicine to continue monitoring chronic diseases, and dermatology has not been the exception. Likewise, the training of specialists must continue, so digital education is more than ever a useful tool, but also a challenge for our specialty in which direct visualization of the dermatological lesions is often necessary.

Prevalence and factors associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the indigenous population of Mexico: systematic review.
Currently, diabetes represents a serious health problem, due to the complications it entails and because of its high mortality rate. Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is the most prevalent and it is characterized by insulin resistance. The objective was to analyze the available scientific literature on prevalence and factors associated to T2DM in indigenous population of Mexico. ⋯ There is little evidence of the prevalence of T2DM in indigenous groups in Mexico. Studies found suggest a diversity of prevalences, ranging from lower to greater prevalences. Considering the risk factors associated with T2DM is essential to generate prevention strategies according to the context of each ethnic group, in order to improve the epidemiological landscape of diabetes in indigenous groups of Mexico.

Acute myocardial infarction is one of the most frequent causes of admittance and the first cause of death in an intensive care unit from a second-level hospital where the infrastructure, installed capacity and location withheld access to optimal reperfusion treatment. ⋯ Fibrinolysis diminished the risk of death, mechanical ventilation requirement, length of stay and cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular complications.

[Long-term patient and graft survival in kidney transplant recipients].
Kidney transplantation is the therapy of choice for patients with chronic renal failure. In Mexico, good short-term results have been reported for graft survival, which is why it was carried out a study in a third level center in Mexico City to broaden these results. ⋯ Long-term patient and graft survival in our center is similar to that reported by other centers at an international level.

Observational StudyNeutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio as a serum biomarker associated with community acquired pneumonia
Community acquired pneumonia (CAP) is the main infectious cause of mortality in the world. Several scales evaluates outcomes, however the current tendency favors using biomarkers as surrogates of clinical prognosis. ⋯ NLR is useful to identify patients with grave pneumonia and risk of complications according to PSI.
