Meta AnalysisScreening Accuracy of SARC-F for Sarcopenia in the Elderly: A Diagnostic Meta-Analysis.
Sarcopenia is an age-related disease, which is characterized by a decline in muscle mass and function. It is one of the most important health issues in the elderly and often leads to a high rate and variety of adverse outcomes. ⋯ The screening accuracy of SARC-F was various based on different diagnostic criteria. There were some limitations for SARC-F, however, considering the higher practicability and specificity for screening sarcopenia in practice, SARC-F was still an effective screening tool for sarcopenia in the elderly. And the screening accuracy of SARC-F needs further exploration when EWGSOP2 is applied as diagnostic criteria and geriatric inpatients are the target participants.

Multicenter StudyThe Impact of Frailty on the Relationship between Life-Space Mobility and Quality of Life in Older Adults during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to abrupt restrictions of life-space mobility. The impact of shelter-in-place orders on older adults' health and well-being is still unclear. ⋯ Older adults experienced substantial decreases in life-space mobility during the COVID-19 pandemic, and this unexpected change impacted their QoL. Providers should be particularly watchful for the consequences of abrupt life-space restrictions on frail individuals.

Historical ArticleMultimorbidity in Community-Dwelling Older Adults in Beijing: Prevalence and Trends, 2004-2017.
The burden of multimorbidity is increasing worldwide; however, little is known about trends in multimorbidity prevalence among Chinese older adults. We aimed to estimate the prevalence and trends of multimorbidity in community-dwelling older adults in Beijing. ⋯ Multimorbidity is common and the overall and age-, sex-, and region-specific multimorbidity prevalence has been increasing over the past 13 years. Public health policies should account for the more complex care needs and growing costs associated with increasing prevalence of chronic disease and multimorbidity in Chinese older adults.

Observational StudyImpact of Serum 25(OH) Vitamin D Level on Mortality in Patients with COVID-19 in Turkey.
Because of the lack of sufficient data, we aimed to investigate the role of serum 25(OH) vitamin D level on COVID severity and related mortality. ⋯ Serum 25(OH) vitamin D was independently associated with mortality in COVID-19 patients.
