The mediating role of psychological capital on the association between workplace violence and professional identity among Chinese doctors: a cross-sectional study.
Background: Workplace violence (WPV) and psychological capital (PsyCap) are linked to professional identity, however, little research has examined how WPV is associated with professional identity via PsyCap. This study is aimed to examine the association between WPV and professional identity, and to further explore whether PsyCap can serve as a mediator between WPV and professional identity among Chinese doctors. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from November to December in Liaoning Province in China, in 2017. ⋯ The proportion of self-efficacy, hope and PsyCap mediation was 10.73%, 10.77%, 36.22% for professional identity respectively. Conclusion: These results provided evidence that PsyCap could mediate the association between WPV and professional identity. To increase the level of professional identity, positive interventions targeting PsyCap should be taken, with a focus on self-efficacy and hope.

A three-wave time-lagged study of mediation between positive feedback and organizational citizenship behavior: the role of organization-based self-esteem.
Background: Previous research has paid less attention to examine the mechanisms through which positive feedback affects employees' organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Moreover, the use of cross-sectional data in most previous research has prevented researchers to make accurate inferences about the mediating processes between feedback and OCB. Given that, more research is required to understand the ways feedback enhances OCB. ⋯ Results: The results of time-lagged multiple linear regression analyses indicate that positive feedback predicts OBSE, which in turn partially mediates the feedback-OCB relationship. Conclusion: This study concludes that positive feedback itself is less explicative in describing its effect on employees' OCB. Other mechanisms such as OBSE can explain why positive feedback enhances OCB.

Effects of job conditions, occupational stress, and emotional intelligence on chronic fatigue among Chinese nurses: a cross-sectional study.
Purpose: Nurses are undertaking considerable emotional and physical work, which may lead to unrecoverable fatigue. This study aimed to evaluate the level of chronic fatigue and explore its associated factors among Chinese nurses in the hope of providing scientific evidence for fatigue-reduction strategies. Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out in Liaoning Province, China in 2018. ⋯ Conclusion: Most nurses surveyed in China might have relatively high levels of chronic fatigue. Our results highlight the importance of interventions on these factors for the reduction of fatigue among nurses in China. Providing more opportunities and support and developing emotional intelligence are crucial strategies to reduce chronic fatigue among nurses in China.
