To investigate whether eating disorders are associated with lower size at birth, symmetric growth restriction, and preterm birth; and whether pregnancy smoking explains the association between anorexia nervosa and fetal growth. ⋯ Anorexia nervosa predicts small size at birth, small-for-gestational-age and symmetric growth restriction.

The objective was to investigate prevalence, estimate risk factors, and antenatal suspicion of abnormally invasive placenta (AIP) associated with laparotomy in women in the Nordic countries. ⋯ An ultrasound assessment in women with placenta praevia or prior CS may double the awareness for AIP.
