To describe the prevalence, severity, course and predictive factors of primary dysmenorrhoea in women of all reproductive ages. ⋯ Primary dysmenorrhoea affects most women throughout the menstrual years. Dysmenorrhoea severe enough to cause absence from work occurs in less than 5% of women. Although improvement and worsening are equally likely for all women, improvement is more likely in women who bear children.

To assess the efficacy and safety of duloxetine in women with stress urinary incontinence. ⋯ The findings support duloxetine as a potential treatment for women with stress urinary incontinence.

To determine whether real-time ultrasound measurement of multiple linear dimensions of the bladder could be used to estimate total bladder volumes of women in labour. ⋯ It is possible to use real-time ultrasound in estimation of total bladder volumes of women in labour. The implications are that all of those normally selected as being in need of catheterisation could be detected, while about a quarter of those women would avoid unnecessary catheterisation.

To determine the effect of ONO-8815Ly on uterine contractions. ⋯ ONO-8815Ly is a potent inhibitor of spontaneous uterine contractility in non-pregnant women and it reduces the uterine response to oxytocin injections.
