Postpartum haemorrhage is the leading cause of maternal mortality. Tranexamic acid (TXA) reduces surgical haemorrhage and the risk of death in bleeding trauma patients. ⋯ No evidence that TXA prevents postpartum haemorrhage. Existing trials are unreliable, with serious flaws.

To quantify trends in 30-day mortality following surgery for endometrial carcinoma in England, and investigate hospital- and geographical-level variations. ⋯ More women with endometrial cancer but better 30-day survival after surgery since 2000.

Prolonged latency of preterm prelabour rupture of membranes and neurodevelopmental outcomes: a secondary analysis.
To determine whether prolonged latency after preterm prelabour rupture of membranes (PPROM) is associated with an increased risk for adverse neurodevelopmental outcomes. ⋯ Prolonged PPROM was associated with motor and mental Bayley scores of <70.
