Case ReportsInfected nonunion of the humerus treated with an antibiotic cement rod. Case report.
The authors present a case of an infected nonunion of the humerus treated initially with reaming of the medullar canal followed by the introduction of an antibiotic-impregnated intramedullary rod. Reconstruction of the humerus with bone fixation and bone graft was performed in a second stage. The final result was healing of the fracture and a good functional result with no evidence of recurrence of infection at a 25 months follow up.

Case Reports[Anterior dislocation of the second and third carpometacarpal joints].
Anterior dislocations of the second and third carpometacarpal joints are extremely rare. The authors report a case of an anterior dislocation of the bases of the second and third metacarpals of the right hand treated by closed reduction and percutaneous wiring. The result was excellent and the authors think that this type of carpometacarpal dislocation does not need open reduction.

[Carpometacarpal dislocation of the fifth finger: descriptive study of 31 cases].
Carpometacarpal dislocation of the little finger is a rare and little known injury. We performed a 10 years retrospective study of all the cases in our unit in order to improve comprehension and treatment of this disease. ⋯ Diagnosis of carpometacarpal dislocation of the little finger can be performed with conventional radiographic examination; computer-tomography is helpful to confirm an associated fracture of the carpus. The goal of treatment is early reduction and fixation of the metacarpal. There is no recommendation for operative technique based on scientific evaluation. Early diagnosis is the key to success.

[Bipolar dislocation of the clavicle or floating clavicle. A report of 3 cases].
Bipolar clavicular dislocation is uncommon. It associates an acromioclavicular and sternoclavicular dislocation. The authors review the mechanism of this injury and discuss the treatment. ⋯ Two hypothesis were made: 1) two dislocations occur simultaneously; 2) two dislocations occur one after another. Management still difficult. Indications must take into considerations the severity of the injury and the functional consequences in the acromioclavicular joint.

The authors report the case of a 23 year old patient, who presented the following combination of injuries after a fall, namely a divergent dislocation of the elbow, a fracture of the radial head, a fracture of the ulna and a perilunate dislocation with scaphoid fracture. The entire injury thus represented a bipolar dislocation of the forearm. ⋯ Satisfactory healing of the scaphoid was observed. This combination of injuries has only rarely been reported in the literature.
