Over the past few decades, advancements in minimally invasive surgery techniques have made surgical management of gastroesophageal reflux diseases increasingly popular. More recently, the field of minimally invasive surgery has experienced a natural evolution towards a reduction in the invasiveness of surgery and even in the number of abdominal access incisions. ⋯ However, there is very little published data on the application of this technique in anti-reflux surgery. We present a brief review of available data as well as a summary of our experiences with this innovative approach to minimally invasive foregut surgery.
