The management of vitamin K antagonists (VKAs) associated coagulopathy is a cornerstone of pre-endoscopic assessment of anticoagulated patients presenting with acute gastrointestinal bleeding. ⋯ There is a considerable variability amongst physicians in the management of gastrointestinal bleeding patients with VKAs-associated coagulopathy and a poor compliance to practice guidelines. These data indicate that better education is needed in this area.
